I also have a stammer, I couldn't imagine going into the Den. Massive props to him for being brave enough to go in and face them. xx |

I have a Stammer also. For him to pitch is incredibly brave and it also shows his Father is doing a fantastic job. My parents see me as an embarassment when I used to speak, then it got progressively worse. When I started working and moved out, I went for speech therapy and now I'm confident and speaking so much better :) (46 likes) hear hear he's cute as too (18 likes) Well done. I also went through something similar and soon realised that my environment was a huge factor. Kudos to you for seeking help though! (14 likes) Agree! I grew up with a lisp, which i can manage but very occasionally stutter now (11 likes) |

Well its another form of beat Boxing from a different genre ;) (29) When you don't get a joke. (8 likes) can we get a r/whoosh for susan (7 likes) "Feel bad for the stutter guy." would imply that the OP wants us all to feel bad, right? I would assume he meant "Felt bad for the stutter guy." as in he felt bad. He's providing his sentiment, why do you think it's "feel", in that way he's wanting to tell others what to feel. What do you think is the most likely scenario? Twit? smh (4 likes) |

Why does Jenny bother explaining what she wants when all she wants is to say “I’m out”. Every time she starts speaking I just feel like I’m wasting my time listening |

Exactly! I feel the same... I wish she was never there! I hope they don't pay her for just being there (25 likes) Jenny is ALWAYS out so unlike the other dragons her explanations are a waste of time, when the other dragons say they're out it's something worth listening to. (21 likes) |

I've had a stutter my whole life. Stress makes it worse. So when I stutter it increases my stress, which increases my stutter, which increases my stress, you get what I'm saying. But put me in a room full of people, with cameras, & knowing it's going to be on TV...dead. I'm immediately dead on the floor. This guy is a lot braver than I could ever be. |

Everyone is different. You'd be amazed how unable some people are to lose it. To be honest, I think the dragons might have missed a trick on this one, they seemed to only want to focus on the UK, but further afield, in colder climates, the market will be much bigger. The son did mention it briefly, but it seemed to be ignored. |

They hadn't even gone to the major players in the UK. What makes you think they're going to go to other countries? (8 likes) There's different building codes in different countries, which means separate invention for each possibly.. not to mention manufacturing etc. Its not like they can just send the same product everywhere…. Not every business has to start hard and fast.... sometimes slow and steady is best. Fast can mean quality slips, and short cuts get made. A lot of great business have started with one or two good and loyal customers. |

think the point is if you want one of the dragons in the first place, you're already planning on going big. It probably wouldn't be worth it for the dragons to invest in a small neighborhood business that didn't plan to move far from it. (15 likes) |

Deborah: take this thing off your head that says its hard to speak to people, because its not! Meanwhile the son with the speech impediment is stood there thinking, Is she taking the piss?! |
41 |

I noticed that too, she was either taking the piss or that was the most unfortunate choice of term to use. Also the other woman said "there is some sort of hesitation....." Surely both of these were deliberate . Written buy BBC writters to keep the show amusing. But really sick if they were jokes. As for the young man I'm sure he gets lots of hotties and doesn't really care about the impediment. He was really courageous to go on the show. I used to have a stammer. I suffer from anxiety and was diagnosed with dysthymia by a psychiatrist. The stammer cleared up when I started taking SSRIs for the dysthymia. Thought I'd put it out there in case anyone else has this problem! |

You cannot get SSRIs without a prescription from a medical doctor. And stop with the Straw Manning. (7 likes) Probably wouldn't advise people to take serotonin inhibitors without speaking to their doctor about whether that's the right choice for them. (2 likes) Err what? Hope they do well...I think they deserve it...With a stammer you would be told to keep calm and speak slowly and methodically in order to control it...That could come across as 'no energy' and I think that's a shame that Tuka picked up on something that was I suspect a manifestation of David's affliction...Good luck to them... |
|

I thought the low energy comment was more about the fact they're just ambling along with the sale of the product. They haven't gone to the larger businesses or wholesalers and were happy to just start small.(2 likes) It's the father also (2 likes) |

Probably edited out. No offence but the stuttering and the BBC trying so hard to show iNcLuSIoN have wasted so much time of the program including all the parts... The way to real inclusion is just to brush over it and treat them equal to anyone else. Instead they included every snippet of him stammering and made the topic all about that. No wonder there was no time to include things the actual show is supposed to be based on. (6 likes) |

Finishing a sentence for someone with a stammer just a talking over them is the height of rudeness and can be considered as discrimination in its own right. I hope this was editing that made it appear than way. I get why she said it she actually was tilting her hat to him and he really didn't need to explain his disability when doing a pitch. |
